Peaceful hideaway. The old trees provide a chill climate even in the hottest weather. The food is traditional and great value for money. Recommended in summer as well when Lake Balaton is way too crowded.

A relatively small, at most medium-sized castle, located in a calm, quiet place, yet within 15-20 minutes you can reach Zalaegerszeg, approx. Within 30 minutes, Héviz, Keszthely and Lake Balaton. It is surrounded by a pleasant, well-kept small park. Our suite has been tastefully decorated in keeping with the age. One of the library rooms that functions as a common room (here you can play board games, play cards, watch TV, talk ... etc.) Is very elegant and fortunately not only an ornament, but also really in use. Overall, the whole castle is very cozy. I think breakfast is plentiful and varied enough. The latter is also true for dinner, although here the portions are sized so that all five dishes slip down. However, that is not a small thing, and there is always something delicious. The price / value ratio should be emphasized, which - at least in Western Transdanubia, especially with regard to Lake Balaton and its surroundings - is extremely favorable, especially that one can stay in a castle!

I really liked it, we spent some nice days there. The room was great, though we asked for a non-economy room, although it must be okay to get to know the castle. Nice park, I liked the pool, the staff was nice and friendly. Although one does not go to a castle hotel to watch TV, I would point out that there is a rich selection of TV shows, unlike most other hotels where there is no problem. Dinner consists of a four-course menu that was delicious every night. Its style is different from the "holy trinity" of broth-stew-fried meat, but we liked it. And it was plenty enough, sometimes a little more.

Very nice staff with magical environment, good food. The cleanliness and sophistication in the castle rooms is not impeccable🙄

A place suitable for a quiet rest. The pension is very clean. The staff is kindly courteous. Breakfast and dinner are delicious and more than satisfactory. We were maximally satisfied with the furnishings of the rooms. We will be back.
