Zichy Mihály Emlékmúzeum

Very nice bar for a little renovation. Beautiful paintings of original furniture. A huge primeval park surrounds the castle. It is worth visiting here and see the works of Mihály Zichy.

Wonderful collection. Too bad it doesn't get a bigger and more extensive description ... the legacy of a world-famous and talented painter.

The construction of the Zichy mansion, the birthplace of the painter Mihály Zichy, began in the 1790s and was gradually expanded. Mihály Zichy's parents, his brother, lived here, and after the painter returned from Russia, his four children and his wife settled here. They lived here mainly in summer and moved to the capital in winter. The exhibition was opened in 1979, then renovated and rearranged in 1992 by President Árpád Göncz. The descendants of Mihály Zichy played a major role in the preservation of the collection.

Very meaningful oeuvre presentation

A systematic, rich exhibition, it provided many new things. Nice environment, but deserves more care.
