It was just old military ekvitment. No god history or stores. All seen in 15 min
If you like the big green, camouflage irons, which used to be a ground-water-air defense, you may want to visit the Zánka Military Park, which is currently the only military exhibit on the shore of Lake Balaton. Exhibition in the neighborhood of Elizabeth Camp is open seven days a week during the summer opening hours, from 9am to 9pm. The exhibit area is located along the 71-lane area, where fighter jets, helicopters - two -, anti-aircraft missiles, locators, tanks, artillery equipment, tracked vehicles, and trucks are on display. The information boards are bilingual, besides the Hungarian one can read in German about the weapon and vehicle on display. Tickets can be exchanged for 1000 HUF, students, pensioners and other discounts are not available. What do we get for it? To put it mildly, we can walk around the former war equipment, chained and welded on the grassy area. We alone can enter the ridge of the Mi-8T and be amazed at the size of the monster. There is also a two-man cockpit of the machine, where older people can sparkle their Russian knowledge. (I got the word rocket ...) It is a pity that some people have already damaged this machine, it is a pity. The rest can't be climbed... One of our favorites is the PTSZ-M Medium Crawler Floating Vehicle, which is a problem when it comes to flooding and extreme snow conditions. An interesting sight is the locator installed on the URAL truck, as well as the T72 tanker, or, as far as we know, the Mi-24D helicopter, which came to Hungary from Germany, did not operate. BAT-M tracked bulldozer is brutal; it had a tanker engine, and even a helicopter runway was coolly built with it. And the MiG-21 and V-750 rockets are just icing on the cake. Let's be honest: the place for younger people is not interactive enough and for older people a good time for a walk with some info. It's left over, but it's important. Have a half ticket for parking too!
It was hard to get in, nobody spoke english and there were no signs. Tickets are sold at the reception at the far end of the road. Price was 1000ft. There are only few vehicles.
Small but nice collection of soviet era pieces of army instruments. The best part was a helicopter of which cockpit was free to enter. There was also the legendary Mil Mi-24 aka "Hind" attack helicopter.
Cool
