Kita

Visited for the first time tonight and absolutely loved it! The curry of the week was delicious and a really generous portion. All the desserts were amazing. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive without being overbearing. One of them even offered to take a photo of our group! Highly recommended and will be back. If you live on the Northside, don't be shy, this is definitely worth crossing the lake for!

Kita is always the first choice for a late night when out with friends or family. The drinks are top notch and the meals are always flawless. The prices are as low as reasonably possible for a night-owl cafe. The staff go above and beyond to accommodate special requirements and have commendable hospitality skills. The lighting, layout and music of Kita is spot on for a wind down at the end of a night out or to sit and study in. Outside Kita is well-lit with plenty of parking (and places to park or pick-up e-scooters). Often you'll be able to see a group of police out the front enjoying their break and taking in the calm vibes of Kita. I can't flaw this place at all except to say that they don't split bills, which for the service they provide is a very small price to pay. Whether you're looking for a place to study or recuperate after hitting Civic, or you're just looking for the best that Canberra's night-life has to offer, Kita is where you should be heading.

Great little cafe that is super chill and very hipster. What is special about Kita is that it caters to the night crowd as it opens all night to the next day. Good place to hang out wth your friends. The Indonesian inspired food is great too for a late night snack. Also the staff and owners are so warm and friendly!

Fast and friendly service, nice enough location, we sat outside there were blankets to rug up. Coffee was excellent came out at just the right temperature. The bacon and egg roll was ok, the tomato relish was a bit overpowering. The rest of tbe menu looked good so i would come back.

Overall a decent place for a late night meal although I found the soto ayam (noodles in chicken broth) a bit bland. The desserts also didn’t quite hit the spot. However, the chocolate milkshake was surprisingly amazing and honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were extremely lovely.
