Bayleaf Balinese Restaurant

Reasonable dining experience - the menu was authentic and extensive, and the service was overall satisfactory. However biggest complaint was the very rude welcome we received upon first entering the restaurant - simply by asking whether there was a possibility we could be seated away from the road - for this simple request we were made to feel like second rate customers (had seriously contemplated leaving the restaurant at this point). Furthermore, although tasty; all the dishes were far too salty. Despite this though, there are certainly redeeming features to the restaurant. 3 stars

Got take away. Food excellent! Loved my chicken curry. Where this restaurant can improve - no cutlery provided with take away. I'm staying at a hotel and would have appreciated being offered single-use chopsticks. Ordering take away was a little confusing so please make it more obvious where to order. Despite this, you should try this restaurant for deliciousness! Loved the food.

The food was so delicious, we ordered the skewers which was definitely the best out of the four. We also ordered poached chicken salad, which was very refreshing, duck curry was very flavoursome and duck was very tender. The lamb stew was also good as the meat was very tender. Overall a great experience.

Dined here about 10 years ago and had the same experience, Absolutely beautiful! Had the set menu for 2 which was a great variety selection. Well worth the price. Will definitely return on our next visit to Cairns.

Went in with a group of people and it was just amazing, great staff, great beers on tap, the food is some of the tastiest you will find in Cairns anywhere!nBeautiful atmosphere and setting. Repeat visits will be a thing.
