Very well kept and beautiful gardens. So peaceful, very different to what those men buried there experienced.

Peacefull and well maintained. Shows just how many young men stood up for the cause. The Indian cemetery on the left before entering is a testament to the brutality of conflict

I visited the cemetery in 1976 while working at the then new Nadzab airport. I was amazed at the number of Indian soldiers buried there. They were largely captured at Singapore and brought to Rabual and then Lae to dig tunnels for the Japanese and executed by the Japanese when Australian troops were about to capture the area. There are also a small number of graves of British soldiers. The majority of Australian graves are from the recapture of Lae and Nadzab.

The place is just a good place to be in its really just so beautiful and i recommend going there just to visit the people who sacrificed them selfs for us
