Cardinal / Ottawa South KOA Holiday

I've been to many campgrounds in North America, and for families looking for a peaceful, restful, campground, with the most activities and play structures for all ages of children, there is no better place than this KOA. I am a grandfather of 6 and they love this place.

We stayed in K02. What a great well equipped base level cabin! Definitely beats tenting with kids.nSo much less work.nThe fridge worked great and had a freezer compartment too. (Needed defrosting in the worst way though) Think double Ice cube tray size.nThere was an AC unit. Lots of electrical sockets. The main bed slept and adult and 2 kids nicely LOLnThere's a smoke alarm and fire extinguisher.nThe propane BBQ was great! It was Immaculate.nFire pit included. $11 bags of wood extra.nnKOA is a fun weekend away with little kids.nNot much here for teens and pre teens.nnThe bathrooms are spotless.nnThe staff were on top of the whole Covid situation with cleaning. There is hand sanitizer everywhere.n(although only soap and water kills the virus!)nnKOA loves their Code of Conduct.nLots of rules to follow.nn*Not marijuana friendly at all despite being legal.*nnWe had fun and if you have little ones you probably will too.nWe loved the cabin.

So much to do and the facilities are kept clean and well cared for! They had activities day and night for kids and adults, amazing play areas, a warm pool... And I guess the theme our weekend was chocolate as we received a plate of treats drizzled in delicious chocolate. The sites were spacious and comfortable with the sand box for the tent. We will go back for sure!!

If you are looking for a peaceful, treed, caring campsite, Cardinal KOA is the place to go. We have been going there for 12 years and it's only gotten better. The owners care about the campers and this has never been more clear than during COVID-19. They take every precaution and follow the guidelines established by the province. We just came back from a relaxing weekend and we even got to swim safely in the pool!

Even with a day and night of rain this campground was so great! Staff were amazing super friendly and always around if you need something! Bathrooms were super clean. Covid 19 protocols were great! The kids had so much fun never a dull moment! Definitely looking forward to returning in the future!
