Very nice area with beautiful scenery. Owners of the campground take pride in ensuring your stay will be wonderful experience. The campground is located outside the National park and only a couple miles to the entry.

Honestly, unless you just really want to camp in badlands to camp in a national park, I think this is a better campground. It’s next to the white river which I think is a better place to have a campsite than in the middle of the badlands (no shade, trees, just out in the open).nnNice tent sites. Close together, but there are trees between each of them which make it feel a bit less crowded.nnWiFi and a heated single person bathroom/shower which is absolutely worth the cost after a day/days of hiking.nnVery friendly hosts, greeted with smiles.

This truly is the best park in the Badlands area. We have been coming here for years and it’s the only campground with shade which is worth it!nnMy advice to campers who get weirded out by the somewhat poor reviews on the KOA app. If you act like a decent human being and not an entitled Karen/Ken this is a great place. If you expect to be catered to or want people to gush and pay attention to you, then this park is not for you. Some of the most wonderful down to earth people own and work at this campground. Give respect you will get it. And yes, the internet speed is not as good as it is in your suburban home. Put down your iPad and enjoy the great outdoors. Cell service is spotty too. That’s not the campgrounds fault. Again get off your phone, disconnect and enjoy the beauty around you.

Incredible camp ground to stay at! Reservations were easy to make. Our camp site required electricity which was not a problem. I drove outside the campground for two minutes and managed to get incredible pictures of a SD morning with the predawn colors.nnFrom this spot the Badlands were a very close day trip. Turns out Devils Tower is also an easy day trip along with Wind Cave and Evans Plunge in Fall River.

Highly recommend! Staff is super amazing at this site and very helpful. Their shop is very well stocked with supplies and food/etc. No sewer dump at each site but they have a main dump station at the front. Also they have a propane fill station. They also offer 30 or 50 amp service. WiFi worked great as well which was good because cell service is very limited in this location.
