In line with the development of Indonesia's history, BPK RI also experienced various developments. About 30 years after the state high institution called the Supreme Audit Board and known by the acronym Bepeka moved from Yogyakarta to Bogor and then to Jakarta, BPK RI only had one Bepeka representative, which later became known as the Bepeka Region II Representative in Yogyakarta. Furthermore, at the age of 34, Bepeka began to develop its wings to compensate for the demand for improvement in the quality of examination results. In view of the increasing State Revenue and Expenditures Budget from year to year and the increasing responsibility for auditing tasks, in 1981 a Regional Representative Office III was formed based on the Decree of the Chairperson of Bepeka No. 04 / SK / K / 1981 concerning BPK Representative in Ujung Pandang and Chairperson of Bepeka's Decree No. 80 / SK / K / 1982 concerning the Organization and Administration of the Secretariat General of the Supreme Audit Board. Bepeka Region III Representative in Ujung Pandang was inaugurated on May 27, 1981.nnIn its development, Bepeka Region III in Ujung Pandang has changed its name several times. The name change for the first time was to become Representative of BPK RI VII in Makassar based on BPK RI Decree Number 12 / SK / I-VII.3 / 7/2004 concerning BPK RI Organizations and Working Procedures. Subsequently, there was a change to the BPK RI Representative in Makassar based on Decree of the Chairman of BPK RI Number 02 / SK / I-VII.3 / 1/2006 as the fourth amendment to BPK RI Decree Number 12 / SK / I-VII.3 / 7/2004 concerning the Organization and Working Procedures of the BPK RI. Furthermore, based on Decree of the Chairman of the Republic of Indonesia BPK No. 06 / K / I-XIII.2 / 10/2008 concerning the Name of the Representative Office of the Republic of Indonesia, the name of the Republic of Indonesia BPK Representative in Makassar became the Representative of the Province of South Sulawesi, the Indonesian Supreme Audit Board.
