It was absolutely horrid experience to see and hear animals (some of them are pets) slaughtered and burnt to get off its hair. Smell is awful although i was standing about 7-10 meters from the market. Ah yes, i didnt get it, but i still could see some stalls from afar

The Minahasan people we have met and engaged with on our travels are gentle, loving and truly seem to enjoy life. I cannot fathom that these same people consider the sheer brutality that occurs at this market a part of their “culture”. These images have scarred my brain permanently. Do not go here. Do not spend money here. Go home and give your pets, or any animal that you remotely care about, some extra love.
