Ranu Agung

Green lake landscape with good view.

There's no public transport to go there but it has nice view, cheap ticket, & fresh air.. very refreshing. The developer should be more serious to develop it.

2.5 hours from sidoarjo or about 3 to 3.5 hours from surabaya by motorcycle, this well-known beautiful lake offers a calming, mystical view of mountains and trees for those who wish for a quick get away from roaring sound of crowded city.nnIt's not too far from the center of Probolinggo, but the small and narrow road to the lake makes it quite difficult to reach for medium to big sized cars. And there's very little road markings that point to Ranu Agung, so you need to take care not to get lost.nnIf you plan to visit Ranu Agung, I suggest to arrive at the lake earlier in the morning around 8-9 a.m, since the local visitors usually go there around noon, so you can enjoy the place better.
