Hotel Dina Amalia

The only thing I can say that is good about this hotel is that it isn’t too far from the harbour. From when we first arrived the service was terrible, the staff ignored us and when they finally spoke to us it was obvious they didn’t want to. When we were finally showed a room that we had asked for (3rd time lucky) we found that the sheets and towels were dirty with stains and hairs on them. The bathroom was dirty and so small that the shower head was directed right over the toilet. The breakfast that is included in the price was 1 hr 30 mins late and was cold and not nice.

The staff are unhelpful and ignored us when we arrived. The room was dirty, and sheets unclean with hairs and stains on the pillows and towels. The included breakfast was very disappointing and was given an hour and a half late which meant we were delayed for our next destination.

This is a grotty hotel that would not even get on the ratings board except that it is the nearest to the ferry . It is dirty and the bathrooms would disgrace a public toilet. No shower, squat loo, no sink just a cement tub of water and a dirty plastic pan to douse yourself. A/C has minimum effect, headboards to bed filthy. Really not one redeeming feature save as above. There has to be better in Singkil somewhere.
