Okay first, it is ridiculous that you guys announced that all passengers traveling by plane going to Bali have to get the PCR test 3 days before the initiation. We bought tickets to Bali on the 18th and because the mandatory PCR testing started on the 18th, we were forced to get the PCR test fast and we did. Then, after we arrived in Bali on the 18th, the government updated their announcements saying that MANDATORY PCR PERIOD HAS BEEN MOVED TO DEC 19-JAN 4. How absurd is this? We urgently got the PCR test and after we arrived in Bali, that morning (Dec 18 morning) the government announced that the PCR testing to Bali will be initiated on the next day instead. So technically we did not have to do the PCR (just the rapid test) if they announced this earlier. I do not understand why they announced this on the morning of DEC 18. I cannot believe that a ministry of a country as big as Indonesia did something as mindless as this. However, because of the PCR test, we do feel safer here. The absurdity certainly outweighs the benefits though.
