Taman Akuarium Air Tawar TMII

Great place for kids. There are araipamas (huge one), catfishes, turtles, and many more. Small, medium, and big tanks, miniatures setting of rivers are here too. Ticket is affordable (below 50K), and you can enter 2 sites, Museum Air Tawar and Museum serangga. The place is relatively clean. Good for a family short trip during weekend.

i was happy while i visited this place but suddenly i saw this one. please correct me if im wrong, this is an alligator snapping turtle. this is very concerning condition for me because they only put him in a small glass box or aquarium idk (too small for him) when the last time i visited here on july 2020 .. i really hope the team of aquarium of tmii will give him a better environment, or not maybe it will be better for the team to put him back on nature.. his natural habitat.

This place changed a lot since my last visit, which is when the place is newly built. Now it's just kinda sad.nn+Variety of the species is great.n-The escalator didn't work.nnMaybe they could add some scenery that is a suitable biome for some fishes, because their tank is just... Empty. For example, the polkadot black manta ray. There's nothing in it, except water.
