Built in 1885 in Dutch colonial style. For God's sake, please never tear down the church like they did in Pontianak! If you need to build another gaudier and bigger church, build it somewhere else!

The only catholic church at Singkawang. This place is a historic place, built by The Nederland. It have 80's style for the church. Many people go here to pray and visit this iconic church. When I go there, because of many people went there, it doesn't have many chair to sit, so many people have to stand out side and have a good speaker to hear the catholic priest speak. If I not wrong, the priest is the oldest priest at there, but he still attend the mass. At the end of mass, many people take a picture with the priest and help him to walk. Out side the church there also have Maria's cave to pray there. Many people pray there after the mass. I really like the beauty of this church and I surprise when I go inside the church. Very big and very nice taste of the architecture. I'm glad I can go there and have mass in this place. Hope you enjoy go there and pray there. I think that's all I can share with you.
