It's a Sanctuary where you can see the Maleo Bird. They have some cages where they protect the young birds till they can easily survive in the wild. During the visit the ranger found one egg that we move to a safer place. Thanks Max, great visit.

The 5 hectares forested is good for jogging and birdwatching. However the main purpose of this site is to protect nesting ground of Maleo, an endemic bird of Sulawesi. Provided nice and easy trail has no sufficient signboard nor interpretation.

Come on a tour in the chubby maleo sanctuary ...nLearning closer to nature, especially getting to know the beautiful and unique maleo bird (macrocepalon maleo) and helping to preserve the maleo bird so that it will avoid extinction.nCome on to the fat maleo sanctuary park.
