Sumatra EcoTravel Bukit Lawang - Tours & Treks

Great place to stay n enjoy the jungle life with riverfront view once you open your room door in Bukit Lawang. Room was clean n comfort. Decorations also nice.nVery polite n friendly staff n the team also.nThe hotel was also offering things to do and tour option during your stay. Good job!nSuggestion : hopefully will be listed on some other local Indonesia travel apps (i.e. Traveloka, Tiket.com etc) for more options of hotel reservations.

Good accommondation, good view, best service

We had the absolute best time! Everything is well organised and you are well briefed on everything coming up. The food given to you whilst staying in the jungle is excellent. We had the best guide, Firman who was always helpful and knowledgable and he has the best giggle ever

After researching numerous operators in Bukit Lawang, I chose EcoTravel because of their positive reviews and their aim at promoting conservation of the jungle.nnThat being said, I'm very happy with our trek! Indra was a funny/knowledgeable/entertaining guide, and he made sure everything was perfect during our time in the jungle. There were a few other groups with whom we crossed paths in the jungle and shared a campsite with during the night, and it was easy to see that our group was the best prepared for our time there (ie. they made sure we were dressed properly, they're the only operator that had life jackets for the 'jungle taxi' ride back to Bukit Lawang, etc.).nnAll-in-all, I'd highly recommend EcoTravel and their Orangutan Trek! But be warned, 8.5hrs hiking in the jungle, crossing rivers, going down vertical mountain sides and sleeping in the nature is the real deal.
