SATU HATI (One Heart) Homestay

Our favourite place in our trip to indonesia ! This a great homestay to explore this remote area of Lombok from. So many beautiful beaches reachable by bike that you will have all to yourself. Also a number of beaches within walking distance, and a small fishing village. Jamil is an excellent host, and we will never forget him and his family. His children are great fun and his wife makes beautiful food. The accommodation is such an affordable price, and has a fan. You can see monkeys playing in the trees from the garden. We felt so lucky to be here and to see the amazing work Jamil is doing for the local community.

The place is basic and nice.nWe paid 120k per night, including breakfast. Decent price.nnJamiel (the owner - who gave himself a 5 star rating) was friendly and helpful. He talked a lot about his 'one heart' (Satu Hati) attitude to treat people nice.nnBut after staying two nights we were kind of fed up with him.nThe food he sold us was way overpriced - and so was everything else.nnThere are other ratings at tripadvisor which tell a same story.nSo, yes sleep in the rooms but don't go with any 'friendly' recommendations (like the expensive boattrip to the surf) or food.nnAnd to give a honest feedback to the owner :nYou are friendly, but don't chase the tourists money like this. It truly ruins our experience on Lombok.
