Bawata Nusa is a title given by Datu Winsulangi (4th Siau King) to Commander Hengkeng U Naung for his services in realizing "the small empire" in the 16-17th century. Bawata Nusa literally means Conqueror Island. The conquest was carried out to repel pirates (pirates) Mangindano and all the arbitrariness of the tyrannical kings who were suffering the lives of his own people throughout the Buol sea to Talaud. The Bawata Nusa conquered it with two main weapons. Bara and Bawera. Bara is a magic sword, which is always sharpened to the kemanga, the rubbing stone that sharpens its magical power, "three-quarter money" with the power of coal. The more rubbed the bar, the more powerful the two. No matter where the embers of a person come from, if it touches the kemanganya, then the terrible results. Bawera is a powerful speech, which is always sharpened repeatedly until the subtlety manifests manners. As sharp as the embers, without the sharpness of the masters, is meaningless. All things good and bad, is determined by bawera (sound), which also contained the word Genggonalangi Ruata Saruluang. That is why the need sensitivity that gave birth to the nature mateleng then manifests into action matelang and knotted at mateling behavior. Sanggar Bawatanusa becomes a channel for "Komolang Anau Wanua" to hone each other's capacity. Developing each other, collaborating in teamwork, towards a common goal. Therefore anyone and from anywhere, can become a member of Studio Bawatanusa.
