Saint Michael's Residence Seminary is a Priest Candidate Educational Institution to educate Projo Priest candidates from three Dioceses namely the Archdiocese of Kupang, the Diocese of Atambua and the Diocese of Weetebula. This High Seminary belongs to the present three Bishops, Mgr. Petrus Turang, Mgr. Dominikus Saku and Mgr. Eddie Woga. In its implementation, the Seminary was controlled by the Archbishop of Kupang with its Leader as Preeses (Which is now Father Dr. Herman Punda Panda, Pr.) This high seminary was founded by three bishops, the Archbishop of Kupang: Mgr. Gregorius Monteiro, Bishop of Atambua: Mgr. Anton Pain Queen and Bishop Weetebula: Mgr. Cherubim Parera. One of the founders was Mgr. Anton Pain Ratu, SVD, said that one of the backgrounds of the establishment of the High Seminary was because the capacity of the Ritapiret High Seminary was no longer sufficient. By. Fr. Yudel Neno
