The rooms were simple, yet elegant, remaining authentically 'Sumba style'. The view from our bed was something else! It was such a treat not having to think about food and just being served 3 meals a day. We feasted the freshest local food around, and haven't found anything to top it yet. And when we missed a meal, food was always saved for us. Will be back next year!​

Great people, they really looked after me. Rooms are basic but super clean. They picked me up from the airport. Great views from my little verandah. Thanks for having me!

Sumba sunset surf camp It's a really nice place to stay with a great family really helpful and nice. The room are really basic but perfect. We been sleeping even better than a 4 stars hostel 😉 I really recommend

Such a special place with an incredible view! Was treated to fantastic waves for almost a month straight, with Petu using his experience as a local surf guide to send us to best breaks as conditions changed. The reef directly in front of the homestay is incredibly healthy, teeming with life. We saw schools Baracuda and Trevally, a host of ray species, many colourful reef fish, as well as octopi.

Petu and his family are amazing hosts and the tour he gave us across the island was amazing. The secret Waterfall was cool, the local villages, the beaches. All amazing. His homestay is simple but very special because of the view. Great place to stay!
