St. Eligius Catholic Church, Bagelen.nSaint Eligius was born circa 588 in Catelat, near Limoges, France.nBefore becoming a bishop, he was a goldsmith and coin mint.nEligius then has quite abundant income and wealth; but he still used it to help the prisoners and the needy. His house, even his own dining table, was always surrounded by poor people. Eligius also often helped the slaves by buying them and then releasing them. One of the slaves he freed was Saint Tilo of Solignac.
