It is said that the name Tuk Si Bedug originated from the story of the journey of Sunan Kalijaga, a Muslim religious figure. Sunan Kalijaga is one of the other nine Sunan that was given the mandate by God to spread Islam in the Land of Java. On his way to spreading Islamic teachings, Sunan Kalijaga stopped at a large tree in Seyegan village. At that time was a Pahing Friday in the Javanese calendar.
