Kei Pirate Divers

Just visited these guys for the second time on my latest trip to Indonesia, still a great little set-up (with a new office etc now) and fun dive team. The German couple that own the dive shop are super friendly, experienced and knowledgable. The dives sites here are beautiful and the beach too. Don't let the remoteness put you off, the journey is well worth the travel and this is about as 'untouched' as Indonesian diving gets. Great little dive shop in front of the beach in Kei Kecil. A lot of unexplored areas with good coral walls and dive spots. It is run by a nice German couple. Good chats and good advice about things to do in the Island.

Im not sure about that

We had a snorkelling trip with these guys, and we were not really satisfied: we were recommended pulau Hae which should have good coral. Now, on the first spot there, we saw a lot of bleaching, broken and dying corals, while the second spot was mostly coral reduced to rubble, with only small patches of coral left. Our boat driver admitted never to have been in the water there, and coming back the staff was blaming him for not bringing us to the right, 'raya ampat' class spot. Well, that's unprofessional - can't recommend these guys for snorkelling.

Great place! Wonderful dive sites, not much in terms of currents, great guides, sustainable policies. I wish I‘d had more time in Kei and I‘d have done more dives for sure! Great diving for all levels.
