Lone Star Cafe and Bar

After reading the reviews of a number of places it was clear not to risk anywhere else for a good feed of steak and chips. Staff super friendly and helpful, drinks arrived promptly, and the meal was as expected. Steak as ordered (medium rare), fries crispy. Will be back.

Four of us had a night out for a birthday. Food - GREAT!! No skimping on quantity or quality here. One of the party said the steak he had was the best he'd ever had. Salmon - well-prepared with crisp skin. Fish - nice flavour but excess oil had drained onto the salad below. Staff: The head waiter/'Maître D' had a friendly and welcoming personality with an active sense of humour - well done; he's an asset to any restaurant. Other staff - great service.nHygiene: Men's toilets let Lone Star down. The men's toilet door had greasy marks on the outside, all within 5m radius of the handle. The floor was sticky, particularly around the urinals and the hand-basins were dirty. The paper towel dispenser did not operate. The cleaning roster board was noted a clean the day before at 5PM.

Food was fantastic , tried the ribs for the first time and wasn't disappointed, beautiful flavors , my wife had the lamb and said it very tender and full of flavor. The staff were brilliant , there when you but not hovering. Been heaps of times and look forward to going again .

Friendly & seated at Nice cozy booth.. Lovely food.. & paying was easy with light hearted banter with the staff. Always good to add a hit of humour. ud83dude01

Worst place to have dinner. Ordered prawns and rice. Rice served was very very cold. Just from fridge to plate. Will not recommend anyone. Waste of money. Staffs never cared when I told them. Trying to make money with hopeless food. Paid $35 for the cold rice and warm prawns.
