The Maumere Tsunami Monume is a monument erected to commemorate the earthquake and tsunami that occurred on December 12, 1992. But unfortunately when I saw it in person, I was very concerned because this monument located in a city park that could have been an icon of the city of Maumere was not properly maintained. The surrounding conditions are not clean, there is a pool of water that has also never been kept clean. The local city government must immediately take action to be able to repair and make this monument look beautiful, well maintained so that it can attract many tourists to come to the city of Maumere and stop by to take pictures at the Monument. One more thing, so that visitors can find out the meaning and purpose of the establishment of this monument, at least given information boards to educate visitors about the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in 1992.

The monument was created as a reminder of the natural disasters that have occurred on the island of Flores in 1992, the monument is located right in the center of the town of Maumere in the commercial area that has become the center of the crowd, the monument is very nice to visit, the arrangement of the garden pond and lighting at night Very nice days, this place is also great for hanging out and relaxing for families. I really like the atmosphere of this place in the afternoon and late evening.

This monument is located in the heart of Maumere. The garden arrangement is quite beautiful. Good when visited in the afternoon. If night has elegant lighting. Suitable for family recreation arenas and for theater performances.
