Kwan Im Goddess Statue

Really nice temple. The surrounding park however is a sad disaster. Paying to go into a ghost town. Rubbish everywhere. Trees not kept. Nothing tidy. Buildings falling apart. Covid has turned this place into a scary ghost town. My rating is only the temple.

Good place to see beach view

Place is open for public, inside Kenjeran Ria Park.nnFor entrance (in late 2019) you need an entrance through Kenjeran Park for 5000 IDR each person and another 5000 for drop off for grab/gocar parking fee to get near the vihara.nnTo get around in the park, there are Odong-odong with another 5000-10000 each.nnThe vihara is an actual temple, (PLEASE RESPECT THE WORSHIPPER, DONT MAKE LOUD NOISES AND DEFINETELY DO NOT LITTER, PLEASE !!!) but publicly open for all people through a tourists entrance, that will take you the the statue in the back which resides adjacent to the seawater.nnIf you are lucky, a pretty good sunset is worth for the wait.

Sanggar Agung Temple is one of the biggest buddhist temple in Surabaya. One of the most beautiful I've visited. This temple also acts as a tourist attraction, located in Kenjeran Park. Visitor can come to see the beautiful praying shrine, large statue of Goddess Kuan In, and Two large dragon statues facing each other.nIn Chinese New Year, it is very festive, lots of chinese come to pray, they have live music with chinese song, and a free food station for visitors. Really recommended to visit in Surabaya.
