Semarang as the capital of Central Java before 1964 already has GKJ Semarang. GKJ Semarang also already has 2 Priests, namely Pdt. Harjobramoro (1951) and Pdt. Sulaksono Kusumowarsito, BD (1956). GKJ Semarang has 2 places of worship, namely at Kalisari Church Jl. Dr. Sutomo and Mlaten Church Jl. Dr. Cipto. On July 15, 1964, GKJ Semarang was bred, not matured into 2 Adult Churches, namely GKJ Semarang Timur with Pdt. Harjobramoro and GKJ Semarang Barat with Pdt Sulaksono Kusumowarsito, BD. Until July 15, 1964 this is the birthday of GKJ Semarang Barat.nAs a mature and independent Church, GKJ semarang Barat is always blessed by the Lord Jesus with the growing number of church members. GKJ Semarang Barat matured many flocks including GKJ Karangayu 1970 (Growing up GKJ Krapyak 1981, GKJ Boja 1986, GKJ Mijen 1997), GKJ Bulu Lor 1975, GKJ Jatingaleh March 1986, GKJ Sampangan Kradenan April 1986, GKJ Kalilangse 25 October 2000.nnOn the way, GKJ Semarang Barat called the Pastor again in Brother Drs. Nugroho Adhi became the second Reverend (1981–1984). Pdt Drs. Nugroho Adhi became the Pastor of GKJ Semarang Barat for less than 5 years because he was called by UKSW Salatiga to be a lecturer at the Faculty of Theology. On the other hand, April 18, 1986, Pdt Soelaksono Kusumowarsito, BD was called God. Since then GKJ Semarang Barat does not have a Pastor, then there is a Consul Pastor who is Pdt. Isman.nnSince 1986, GKJ Semarang Barat elected Sdr. Christian Subagyo SmTh. Although the age at that time was 50 years old and not a graduate of Theologia High School supported by GKJ. So that the concerned must follow the application with lecturers - lecturers UKSW, UKDW and STT Jakarta. Br. Christian Subagyo SmTh was ordained pastor of GKJ Semarang Barat on December 1, 1989.nnAfter the death of Pdt. Sulaksono K, BD, it turned out that many problems arose in GKJ Semarang Barat, so the Assembly decided to look for a Pastor again. Rev. Widyatmo Ph, STh who has served for 15 years as a Pastor at GKJ Klaten, was decided and called to be a Pastor of GKJ Semarang Barat and confirmed as a Pastor of GKJ Semarang Barat in April 1993. Since then all problems that arise began to gradually be resolved. ,nnIn a further development, Rev. Christian Subagyo SmTh entered the time of emiracy on October 2, 1997. In 1998,nnRev. Widyatmo Ph STh was ill and underwent kidney stone surgery. Based on this, the GKJ Semarang Barat Assembly decided to add 2 more Priests, namely Mr. Drs Bambang Irianto and Sdr. Sediyoko, SSi, who was both ordained on July 15, 2000. With the presence of the three pastors, the service to the people became better.nnWith the presence of three pastors the service to the people is increasing. The good news is since Pdt Widyatmo, Ph STh and the addition of 2 Pastors of the Church, GKJ Semarang Barat are increasingly known both at the GKJ Synod and other churches.nOn March 2, 2011 Pdt.
