Formerly this building was named Wisma Proyodranan after changing its owner's name to Ndalem Natan. In the past, it was widely used as a place for practice and performing arts, cultural gatherings, and recitation. In fact, it was even rented out as a place for wedding reception or lodging. Because of the 2006 Earthquake this building was damaged and changed hands and then restored as it is today which of course remains in its original form.

This building was formerly known as Wisma Proyodranan. Local residents often call it Ndalem Proyodranan. The story of the Pendapa Ndalem Proyodranan. In Kotagede there are a number of pendapa ndalem. This is a public space dedicated to society. Usually, pendapa ndalem is a large residential building. If not a colonial official, the owner was a merchant (silver, batik) at that time.nIn the 1960s, the pedapa was used as a place for training and performing arts, cultural gatherings, and recitation. One of the popular ones is Ndalem Sopingen, which is now left untouched after being sold and replaced with a modern building.

The place is good, often make art exhibitions here. When I came there was a solo exhibition from Mr. Nasirun entitled WIRID on canvas.
