Bloor (East-West) and Yonge (North-South) is one of the most important intersections in Toronto because of the connection of Toronto's two main streets. There are subway entrances on the north-east and south-east corners. There are shopping malls before each entrance and specialty shops spicing up the area. This area is not completely safe or fun late in the evening after bars empty.

It does the job most of the time. Rush hour is absolutely brutal though, the infrastructure was not designed to accommodate the amount of people that now use it. You'll be waiting for multiple trains before shoving yourself forcefully into the train doing your best impression of a hotdog in a tightly wrapped hotdog pack. Before that you'll have to walk down roped in lines designed to control foot traffic. If you want to experience a simulation of what I assume an internment camp feels like come here during rush hour.
