This is one of the twin mountain (Apom) is the second highest mountains in West Papua after Puncak Jaya. The Local people or Tribe (Suku Ngalum) called this mountain as Apom. The local people believe that God created Ngalum people here and send to all the world especially to all Ngalum are from Kupel (West) to Ngalum (East)
