Wadaslintang Reservoir

Located in Wadaslintang District, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java Province, it's quite a vast reservoir, larger than the neighbouring Sempor Reservoir in Gombong District, Kebumen Regency. With a beautiful view on the bluish water surrounded by green mountains, the middle part near the water outlet makes a nice photo spot. On the east part near the car parking lot there is a park with gazebos, food shops and motor boats for a trip around. The southwest part is a fishing heaven with fishing booths for rent, and you can go there on a two wheeler. Karambas (bamboo boxes for fishery) with nila (Nile tilapia) can be seen on the water to the northwest. Some food shops around the reservoir offer delicious nila pepes (a traditional dish where fish is wrapped in banana leaves with grated coconut flesh and spices, and steamed).

Wadaslintang Dam uniquely designed with wet core, while common practice for such structures are using dry core. The dam was comissioned on 1988, hopefully well function extended from design lifetime.
