Once again my family decided to traveling into Amuntai via Ferry crossing at Kariangau. There's no other way to get there without Ferry Crossing or you could buy an airplane ticket to Banjarbaru Airport. Simply said, there is no other way to travel. The ferry has great seating, decent snacks and fair pricing. There are outlets for laptops and tablets. There is also a big screen tv. There's one thing Balikpapan Government should do is fixing the main access road from Kariangau traffic light straight into Kariangau Ferry Port.

The one and only ferries harbour from balikpapan and penajam,I love taking the ferry though slow and bit pricey transportation.nGreat way to enjoy the view across the harbour, if you have time and travelling by car/bus.nMostly old ferry, It's depends on schedule of the ferry if you want to find VIP room or non-smoke room+AC.nYou can enjoy the stunning view of balikpapan city, especially you are taking the ferry during the sunset time..nIn high season maybe so crowded because the people mudik.
