This mosque is located in a very beautiful hilly valley with an atmosphere of rice fields.nnFrom the data collected by Padang Heritage, this mosque was built around 1885 by Tuanku Alam Putih, a well-known scholar in the area.nnThe architecture of the building characterizes the typical Minangkabau tuo mosque which is three stories high, has a clear and cold pool and the minarets of the mosque have Arabic and ANNO 1931 writing. There is a deep blend of Minangkabau and colonial architecture in this mosque.
Tuo Pincuran Gadang Mosque is a beautiful & cool place.nIt is suitable for family visits while bringing food & dining there.
Old but well maintained, clean mosque. Away from the main road, there is no vehicle noise, both profitable and disadvantage, to reach this mosque with 4 or 2 wheels requires strong guts and skill. The existence of a pool with clear water springs coming out from between the rocks is an additional draw
The mosque is clean and complete with amenities, there are also religious tours
This beautiful surau, located on this valley and spring, has been demolished and well-planned. imagine that since the beginning of 1825, they have been building a surau with stunning architecture.nnfirst, where the mosque's placement alone is close to a clean and abundant water source. secondly, the need for such clean water, intentionally distributed on the grounds of the surau, exactly like a drain (25x50cm) around the bottom of the surau wall. so that the feet can be kept clean and maintain the purity of the surau. third, the water flow is also distributed to the east side of the building for the shrine area.nnand more amazingly, how the water from this natural source made a large pool, for the shelter that was later distributed to pilgrims who wanted to take a shower first, with 7 (seven) large enough showers (yachting).nnjust to reiterate, that in the past, many of his ancestors, especially his scholars and students, were studying Islamic religion by visiting sura\u2 in other countries (magicians). and they even learn the guitar to the ground, for example to Labuan island. and vice versa scholars even this island visit is intentionally retaliate, by visiting sura\u2 in the realm of music. they love to deepen their religion, study the yellow book deeply together. and always enjoy science.nnwith the frequency of these hospitality activities, visiting each other, and gathering in the surau tuo, the shower design was large and large, in order to meet the needs of the study of religion teaching comfort, quiet and peace.nnat that time the elliptical tribes and clergy, invited by AllahSWT, had the opportunity to celebrate, they had to walk from a remote village to a mountain town. they walk 20km through the hills, along the cobblestone streets leading to the city.nnit was through this small town that they were able to continue their journey to the city of the field. and next they sailed from bay bay using a boat ready to jeddah, for a month's journey.nnimagine the scholars of old, to find the religion of Islam, is not as easy today. it should be felt that we all shed tears, considering their perseverance to the bliss of AllahSWat for the sake of His religion.nnimagine it in the 18th century, until independence came. This surau, standing tall in the canyon and jungle, is a dense and dense jungle, and the tiger trail of the Sumatran is of course still standing.nnto sit in this surau, continue to shed tears, imagine the ancestors continue to struggle with high spirits.nnyes Allah ... is a paradise for priests, and hard-working scholars who are struggling in this shady country, both for themselves, their students, and their people.nnand bestow Thy grace, for the grandchildren who have enjoyed and practiced this surau. AmienYRA.
