Unprofessional and rude. I came in with a family heirloom asking if they could get the diamonds checked for their genuineness and quality. Instead of using internationally recognised metrics to grade the diamonds (i.e., the four C’s: cut, clarity, colour, carat weight), the owner responded to my question by laughing in a sarcastic manner, dismissing them as ‘ugly’, and refused to support his statement re. my diamonds using more objective, measurable terms. I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews but I hope that doing so gives them the opportunity to reflect on and improve their business in the future, and that other customers may be spared from the unfortunate experience that I’ve had.
