Short ProfilennGMIM is one of the largest churches in Indonesia which is related to Calvinism. GMIM was founded in Minahasa, North Sulawesi. GMIM is part of the Indonesian Protestant Church (GPI). It was proclaimed as an independent church on 30 September 1934, and for the first eight years it was led by Dutch priests, such as Ps. Dr. E.A.A. de Vreede. Then since 1945 the leadership was carried out by native priests with the election of Ds. A.C.R. Wenas has been the leader of the church until now. GMIM, who has been a member of the PGI since May 25, 1950, is also a member of the Asian Church Council, the World Council of Churches and the World Alliance of Reform Churches. In addition, GMIM is also part of the Protestant Church in Indonesia (GPI) and a member of the Am Synod of Churches in Sulutteng (SAG) consisting of Churches in North and Central Sulawesi.
