Pasir Panjang Inscription (Karimun Besar Isl) The Pasir Panjang inscription is in the mining location area of ​​PT. Karimun Granite and carved on a granite hill wall with a stone size written 100 cm x 173 cm and was given a cup in 1996 measuring 208 cm x 267 cm. The Pasir Panjang inscription is a historical heritage of Buddhists. The writing contained in this stone consists of three lines. The size of each text, line 1 140 cm x 37 cm, line 2 145 cm x 36 cm, and line 3 160 cm x 37 cm. This inscription uses Pre-Nagari letters and Sanskrit language. Based on the reading of Brandes and Caldwel the Pasir Panjang Inscription was transliterated as follows "Mahayanika Golayantritasri Gautamasripada", while Machi Suhadi transliterated "mahayanika golapanditasri gautamasripada". From the writings contained on this rock the experts concluded that the writings contained the meaning of "Worship to the Buddha through His Footprints".
