The C26 series Steam Locomotive was imported by the private company Kediri Stoomtram Maatschappij (KSM) from the German Henschel Factory of 10 units from 1914-1926. The locomotive operates on the Kediri-Pare-Jombang route (50 km).nnBecause KSM experienced financial difficulties, 4 C26 locomotives were moved to the city of Madiun to serve the Madiun - Ponogoro - Slahung route (railroad owned by the Staats Spoorwegen railroad company) and 4 C26 locomotives were moved to Madura island to serve the Kamal - Bangkalan route Madoera Stoomtram Maatschappij private train).nAt the end of his service period, in 1979, 2 C26 locomotives (ie C26 04 and C26 09) still served the Kediri - Pare route (24 km). Of the 10 C26 locomotives, currently 1 C26 locomotive is still remaining, namely C26 06 (operational 1921) which eventually became a monument.
