Lovely beach! I went on a holiday (day after Ramadan) and it was nearly empty. There was some trash along the beach

This beach on Karium Island is a bit outside of Balai or Meral. 20 min drive to get there.nIt is a reasonably nice and clean beach with fine sand.nOnly downside is that the water is not so clear... this beach is towards the straits of Melaka on the Eastern side of the island.nTo my experience not really crowded. Easy to drive with the car to the beach.nThere are places to sit with the family... a bit rustique but OK.nThe nearby food places offer fresh coconut and other drinks and simple meals like Mee soto or bakso.nReasonable prices! Friendly!

The beach is right next to Pantai Pongkar. Few tables are available but is mostly deserted.
