The existence of this monument was also a guide when Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I was doing meditation, which was facing the top of Mount Merapi. When the Tugu Jogja building was originally built, it was in the form of a cylindrical pole that tapered upwards, while the bottom part was a circular fence, while the top part was round.
