Unfair business practices – don’t even think to go to Murni’snnWe had an extremely negative experience with this hotel.nnWe reserved a room back in January, before the pandemic, for a stay end of August. We paid ~400 EUR for it.nnWhen the government of Indonesia closed Bali for foreign tourists, we asked them for a refund.nnOur request was denied because they said that the hotel is still open for tourists. How can you keep a hotel open when you have no tourists there? If the hotel was open during the pandemic, how come that their last review on TripAdvisor is from beginning of March, before the pandemic? No one of their actual tourists wouldn’t write a review?nnIt’s obvious that claiming that the hotel is open and business is the same as usual is only a trick for keeping our money. They should ask for compensation from the Indonesian government who closed the island, not from tourists like us who have no fault at all in this situation. They didn’t want to negotiate anything, they didn’t want to find an acceptable solution for both of us, they just refused to reimburse even a dime.nnAnd, to add insult to the injury, they offered us a voucher valid until December 31st, 2020, while the island is closed for tourists until 2021; so the voucher expires one day before the earliest day we could, theoretically, arrive on the island.

Mrs Murni is legend of Bali. She did the first restaurant, the first hotel. She collected a lot of Indonesia’s artefacts. She is always on never ending process of learning and improvements. She is beautiful grand grandmother and very warm and open woman. The Murni’s house is one of the best place for relax, massage, the spiritual healing. In her gardens the spirits are positive, welcoming you and giving the strengths for your personal health and future destinations.

Murni's was authentic, welcoming and tranquil. Our room and the shared spaces were all beautiful and the spa was exceptional.

What sets Murni’s apart from other places to stay is Murni herself. She’s warm and welcoming, interesting and interested and passionate about her Balinese culture. All of this in a beautiful setting. Come as you are and enjoy what you find. I can well believe that most guests are return visitors and am already planning an annual return.

We stayed here for two weeks. This place is quite central and still away from the hustle bustle of the central town area! We booked a 2 room villa and the view from the villa is quite peaceful and nice. You have a view of the valley around. The interior of the place is also very Balinese. There is a spa here, please book it way in advance. It gets booked out quite fast! Murni's is Avery friendly and happy female. Always checking up on us if everything is good and fine! The garden maintained by the place is also very good. Enjoy your stay here!
