State Library of New South Wales

One of the most unique places to study in Sydney. It will have you in awe of the architecture and facilities available. Not many collaborative spaces however if you’re looking for a quiet place to study look no further.

Historical entrance that leads into this beautiful library, and has an enormous amount of books and other treasures that are not often seen by the public. There was a documentary on the ABC back in the mid-'90s where they were trying to preserve the original interior drawings for the Sydney Opera House. And I just wonder if those drawings are still there, and if they successfully preserved them from deterioration. This library also has the Mitchell Gallery where many exhibitions are held, and can include photos, drawings and costumes. benjaminlumb.blogspot.com

Great ambient place to study. There are plenty of seating options in this library for all purposes. Although beware that during the HSC period(September-November), it will start to become extremely busy with high school students studying, so there will be limited spots.

Visited free exhibitions: 1. Photos 1440. Excellent photod stirring up plethora of emotions.... joy, grief, disgust, fear, assurance, proud.....n2. Paintings from collections. Don't know those artists create such pieces of art!!

It is a nice place for study. The personnel are helpful; however the new security contractors are not fit for this place; currently, Wilson Security has added some South Asian security guards who are rude manner.
