at this location you will find the rest of the type C54 locomotive that was left over from Japan when it conquered Indonesia in 1942 - 1945. At the time, Japan built a railway line from Pekanbaru to Muaro (West Sumatra) for coal transport to the port on the Siak River which would later be forwarded to Singapore uses ship transport.nUnfortunately, this route was never used to the maximum by Japanese troops as they surrendered to defeat on August 15, 1945.nThis location was named by Japs 7th Camp.

The steam locomotive train is the remnants of the Japanese occupation in Indonesia. The object is a silent witness to the cruelty of the Japanese army in forcibly employing Romushas from the land of Java in 1941 to 1943. Thousands of forced laborers died in the construction of the railroad that extended from Sijunjung, West Sumatra to the city of Pekanbaru, Riau along approximately 220 Km. Some died because they were exhausted, malnourished, affected by the disease, and some were tortured by the invaders.
