Palembang is one of the best tourist destinations in Sumatra Island. The city offers many tourist attractions for everyone. For those who love history, there is Monpera. It is actually a monument of people’s struggle. It was built to commemorate the struggle of local people against the Dutch. The monument is located adjacent to the Great Mosque of Palembang. It's a historical museum, you can see many historical items in there so you can learn many things. You can see Ampera Bridge on the top of the museum, so you need to go to the top. Good luck

The first time for me to visit the place. Unfortunately, when I asked to local people about this place, many people disallow me to come here. They said too dangerous to come here because there are many pickpocket around. Actually it will be great to know more about the history of Indonesia.
