The food is very delicious. But don't stay here. Josh is a rip-off man. At first, he treat you kindly, but please be careful. I will never go here again! !!

Some of these other reviews don't reflect our experience. We met Josh at the ferry (never met a Roy mentioned in bad reviews) and he offered us a room. We said we wanted to look before commiting and he let us. Everything else he wanted to sell, if we said no he was ok, not pushy at all. The food was delicious and he had good tips about the area. The room was a beautiful wooden hut with a private bathroom for a very good price. Staying at the ferry is what he does to meet people, as it's off the main track so how else does he let tourists know about his restaurant? And it works, there were many of us having a great time in his restaurant! Good music with his friends too!

Thanks so much for the epic feast Roy! Upon request the wonderful host, Roy, was able to get two huge fresh fish and a heap of large yabbie/shrimp from Lake Toba. We gave notice of a few hours and this feast awaited us when we arrived. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very chill as well, great to hang out for a few hours and simply relax with a beer. Also within walking distance of the main Tuktuk area.

The owner Roy was really friendly and recommended us some nice places. The cook Fabio (Thai cook) made an excellent Beef Rendang with rice. Delicious !!!

If you end up here, you’ll get ripped off. The owner, who introduced himself as John, as well as his associates, especially the toothless man we met on the ferry, are only interested in your money. Please read other low reviews and stay away of this place.nnThis was the first and worst experience we had in Lake Toba and I wish we’d never been here.
