Paliyan market is a traditional market located in Paliyan sub-district, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta, offering various crops, basic necessities, clothing and other art objects. One thing that is unique about this market is that Paliyan is a center for blankon sales, whose distribution can reach the entire island of Java. The consumers are mostly rental of traditional Javanese clothing, photo houses. The existence of blankon craftsmen in the Paliyan market is able to survive from generation to generation, maintaining the ancestral cultural heritage of the scour of modernization.
