Examining the history of SD PUTREN in the course of its establishment in the beginning from the People's School (SR) in 1918. This school is still in the Dutch colonial occupation. The area was in the former area of ​​Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace when the royal government was still in Pleret. SD PUTREN is taken from the name KEPUTREN which means part of the Palace of Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat which is specifically where the princess palace lives. In its development in line with the territory of the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace joining the Unitary Republic of Indonesia, all forms of government and education in particular followed the system organized by the Government of Indonesia.nnSD PUTREN after the 5.9 SR earthquake in 2006 which devastated the Imogiri region to Prambanan began to clean up and was proposed for regrouping with adjacent schools. However, Keputren residents still want the SD PUTREN to stand alone given its history. In 2010 SD PUTREN represented a national level Cluster Competition and won the Champion of Hope 2.
