Abasan Hill Hotel & Spa Nusa Penida

Great stay in one of the villas at the family run Abasan Hill Hotel.nnThe pool is great after a day of exploring the island and the hotel is located in a tranquil area of Nusa Penida (you’ll need a scooter or driver). I ate at the restaurant multiple times and each meal was delicious and freshly prepared (which does take time) and for a reasonable price. The staff are all extremely friendly as well as helpful for if and when you might need something.nnI would definitely choose to stay here again and would recommend to those seeking a peaceful retreat on Nusa Penida.

“Made” (owner) and the staff made this stay for us incredible. We were treated better then anywhere else in Bali. The hotel has nice rooms and a great infinity pool. The staff are excellent and so kind. “Made” made sure we saw / did everything we wanted to on Nusa Penida. He made sure we were one of the first people at Kelingking before the rush, and organized snorkeling with the Manta-rays. We left feeling like we made great friends at Abassan hill and would highly recommend this place. We are already planning to come back!

Great views and better hospitalitynnThey were quiet in off-season so upgraded us to the room with the best view, offered complementary drinks and were very helpful in organising activities like snorkelling at great pricesnnAircon in room is very powerful! Food is also very note

Best service I’ve experienced in hospitality!nWe were very impressed by the quality of the villas at Abasan for the price we paid. Strong air conditioner, good water pressure in the showers and newly built. To top it off, it has a beautiful view, amazing infinity pool, delicious food (we loved the pizzas and mie goreng) and relaxing massage service.nnI also love the convenience of being able to book for tours which they have curated for us personally at the best prices. Standout was the snorkeling tour, being whisked away on our own private boat and the driving tour of the island by Made.nnWe had luggage so took a taxi for 100k to get to abasan. Once we offloaded the luggage, it’s much quicker to get to the ferry port on foot by going downhill to the water, then turn right for short walking track. The hotel staff were really kind and took us down to the water via a 2min scooter ride and picked us up when we called.

Feedback relates to massage service only. I do not recommend. We ordered reflexology but it was nothing even close to it. The overall massage was pleasant but not what we wanted. The massues were late 20 minutes and the place wasn't prepared. As soon as massage started, weird techno house music started playing loud and so we didn't get to relax too much. Both massues were talking in own language during most of our massages and checking phones. Overall, not so great experience and will not go back.
