Mastro's City Hall

Our server was amazing from beginning to end. Food was equally amazing....steaks cooked to perfection. It was my first time having sea bass and it was nothing short of perfection from the cook to flavor. We ordered shrimp, bacon, mac and cheese and let me tell you...that bacon IS LIFE!! Best bacon I've ever had!nnBest meal and service we've had. Thank you so much!

4 stars for the total average of my past visits where the service, ambiance, and food quality were off the charts.nnNo exaggeration: This place has provided me two of my top five best dining experiences of my entire life on this planet.nn3 stars for my last visit:nnI was super disappointed with my experience on March 17th. Service here is better than anywhere else, but it was sub par that night compared to my prior visits.nnI'm not a big shot, but I'm not afraid to spend money here because I see extreme value in the quality of service. This was lacking on that evening.nnI don't drive a Rolls Royce Phantom or anything. I tipped the valets $20 specifically so they would be sure to be attentive when bringing up my precious Honda Civic for me and my girlfriend on her birthday.nnThe least the valet could have done was open the door for my girlfriend standing there in heels.nnHe didn't.nnDetails matter.nnWhich is specifically why someone goes to a place like this.nnI'm hesitant to treat someone to City Hall in the future.

I was so excited to try this very highly rated, high end steakhouse for my birthday. Sadly, I was left very disappointed.nnThe night started at 7:15pm, for which I had a reservation (confirmed by a phone call from Mastro's). Arriving on time, my wife and I headed to the hostess and was checked in. I was told I'd be seated momentarily. We were seated 20 minutes later. No worries, I understand when it's busy and sympathize with the staff. And it truly was busy for a Monday night.nnThe majority of the issues, however, were after being seated. After waiting for about 30 minutes at the table without anyone checking in with us, a server arrived at our table letting us know that he and another server are servicing the area and asked if we had been helped yet. I said no and would like to order at a drink. He took my drink order and asked if we would like some bread for the table. I said yes and he went on his way. After another 15 minutes pass, waiting for the bread that never came, my drink finally arrived.nnBy this point, I was at my table for about 45 minutes without my food ordered and a drink that took very long to arrive. I was ready to leave, but wanted to give them 1 last chance. After another 10 minutes pass, I finally flagged down another server. He apologized for the long wait and asked what we'd like to order. I decided that by the time the food would arrive, it would be too late. So we politely asked to leave and would appreciate it if we did not pay for the drink. He apologized once more and comped the drink, thankfully.nnI would love to be someone that enjoyed the experience dining at Mastro's, but I did not get the chance to partake.nnIt was a very disappointing night.

Saying the food was delicious doesn’t do it justice. Everything we tried was perfect. The desserts (butter cake and sorbet) were incredible. The servers were personable, kind and made for an all around exceptional experience. Thank you for a great night!

Solid meal, well cooked and the oysters were on point. Friendly, courteous staff. Found ourselves waiting for the course change, desert menu and the bill, eventually. Maybe understaffed? All in all, great experience. Live music added a cool touch. Will certainly return.
