Politeknik Tonggak Equator

Politeknik Tonggak Equator is a polytechnic that is located in the middle of the city. It is the first private polytechnic in West Borneo. The building has 5 floors and there are 4 floors that are used for the students. The polytechnic offers 3 majors. The first is a Business English and Management major which titled Bachelor of Applied Science ( Sarjana Sains Terapan in Indonesian ). Also there's a Budidaya Tanaman Pangan and Teknologi Pangan major which is an Associate degree ( A. Md/ Ahli Madya ). All the classrooms are fully equipped with LCD Projector and two Air Conditioners in each room. The classroom isn't big and each class consists of approximately 30 students. The polytechnic offers you a morning class or evening class that most people take because they're working in the morning. This polytechnic gives you freedom to work in the morning because all activities are started from 5 PM to 9 PM for classes. The campus has a parking lot for boys, girls and lecturers. You can also park cars in front of the campus. It has a theater, a ballroom, a lot of laboratories ( including science nor computer laboratory ), an Islamic prayer room, a chapel, a health unit, a library and many others. You can also get a scholarship if you were on a rank in high school. If you got the first rank in 11th grade (1st and 2nd semester) you can get 100% scholarship. Politeknik Tonggak Equator is known for its discipline and its cleanness. Politeknik Tonggak Equator or known as POLTEQ has been running for 16 years (est. 2002) and will continue to be the first ever private polytechnic in West Borneo.
